I'll Take Two - J Crew Review Collection Silk Lace Front Tee

Show of hands.

Who has ordered an item, item on back order, forgot about said item, ordered it again?
Well I'll be damned.  I got the same shirt, in the same size, on the same day.  Oops.

J Crew Collection Silk Lace Front Tee, size 10, dark navy green

Come closer

I do believe it fits true to size to just a tad big.
I know, I know, thing costs a small fortune.  I am trying to be more selective and aware of my purchases.  Hence ordering the damn thing twice.  I'll blame it on….

Look closer…

Yep, there's the silk.  It has silk arms.

Yep, there's the viscose. It's in the back.

It's in the front under the "lace".  I don't know, maybe my definition of lace is off.  I was thinking light weight.  This is a bit heavy.

Look, there it is at the neckline.  Button closure at the back.  They do give you an extra.  Good thing since I just slide this right over my head.  I can not seem to acquire the skill to button behind me.  And yes, I struggle with wiping my ass too.

Sure is purty though.  Color is spot on.

I do really like it but am disappointed that the only silk is right where my toxic arm pits are.

Off topic…

Merry Wife of Windemere had inspired me to do 101 Things in 1001 Days.  I can only come up with fifty.  Need to dig deeper or just do surface shit like brush the dogs (trust me, this needs to be done).  Once I get my completed list (oooh, item #51…complete list) I will post.  In the mean time I will keep you informed as to when Merry Wife completes the Push Up challenge.  This I tried.  Made it to 35 then pussied out.  I did not have my Nazi daughter to crack the whip and "help" me complete.  So good luck Merry…I'm watching you.

  1. Just came over from ??? (I've also forgotten why I'm in this room) where you had the funniest comment ever - keep it coming. :love the colors and the textures and this is a great jeans or zazzy up the blue suit one. You have to like the feel of it - how does the viscose feel? my armpits do meet their toxic match with silk I've found.

  2. When I worry about sweating in a silk blouse I sweat more, guaranteed! That is a pretty top and I like it on you very much... they are your colours. I think I can do 20 push-ups so I think you're amazing. 101 things... yeah go for surface shit!

  3. That looks really nice on you, better than it does on the model. That's annoying about the silk placement, though.

    1. Thanks. The list writing is proving challenging. Clean out my sock drawer may be #61.

  8. Love the top, and am like sulky: far too slack to write the list, let alone do it. I hate lists, too. They make me stressed.
I hope you keep the top, the colours really are lovely. Shame about the silk arms/ sweat thing though

  9. YAY!!! Oh, I'm so excited you're doing a list too! :-D

I think one of the joys of these exercises is mixing the completely mundane with the highly unlikely. Like, #21 is achieve enlightened bliss and #22 is floss every evening.

    1. I do believe I will start checking things off before I even have the list done. Told hubs and he has taken quite an interest, in fact we will be doing several things this very weekend.
