    1. What a fun trip you have planned! I want to see Book of Mormon so badly...I hope you enjoy it.

I'll never be able to stretch like those girls (sigh), but I'll settle for whatever's in that Cartier bag. :)

      1. I got my flights with points. I got my hotel with points. Book of Mormon...costs as much as the flights would have. But I have wanted to see it for quite awhile.

    2. You have me confused. That top photo is Tokyo. In fact one of those high rise buildings to the right of the bridge is my apartment building. The other photos not so much Tokyo. Where ever you're going have good time and take google maps with ya because Tokyo is long walk from New York. Your blog is so much fun. Blog on.
      Jude.

      1. Always welcome. Last time we went was several years ago after Christmas. Everything was on sale AND no sales tax.

    7. My husband and I have an apartment in NYC which we go to nearly every weekend. The city always amazes and delights me. There is its so much energy! I am so happy that you are able to bring your best shopping buddy, Emily! My best advice is to pack shoes that you can walk in ALL day. Flats work for me. I hope the rain holds off since it canbe such a great te to visit. Please post any questions although it looks like you have planned a fabulous itinerary. Have a great trip'!

      1. I do have one question..We are staying at Hilton in the Fashion District. Emily will be meeting a friend for lunch that Sunday. Hunter and I are looking for a nice brunch spot, someplace relaxing with a nice view, that we can lull away a couple of hours. Any suggestions?

    10. Oh, you are sure to have fun and the weather should be awesome, I think. My eldest went to college in Manhatttan, such a great excuse. We always did a play-- worth it--did some music and , of course, a restaurant or 2. Hope your daughter is adjusting to college life!

      1. Do hope the weather is good. Book of Mormon was a small fortune but hopefully it will be well worth it. Any food is usually good as long as i do not have to cook or clean.

    11. Some lunch recommendations for you and your husband. If your feet are really tired there is a restaurant Rare View Rooftop right on your hotel. Great burgers! Also walkable is La Birreria at 200 5th Ave between 23 and 24tj street. It is in Mario Bettali's Eataly - a fun food market extravaganza. For a small intimate lovely food lunch, I can recommend Periyali, a Greek restaurant at 36 W 20th street. And always a favorite place for my husband and I to linger with a bottle of wine in the midst of it all is an outside table at Morrell Wone Bar 1 Rockefeller Plaza - 49th street. The emphasis here is the wine and snackspte than food. Hope that helps.

    12. Sorry for the typos. Between auto correct and being totally inept at editing on my phone it gets ugly!

      1. I now have lots to look up. Thank you for the recommendations. I will let you know on our return which we picked. Typos and auto correct can actually be quite amusing. No apologies necessary. Thanks again for taking the time and effort in helping me.

    14. The Book of Mormon is in my future too but not in NY. ;)

Requesting a full report on the food, especially if you find good pizza.

Tons of fun and a hassle free trip to you!
