Autumn in Knoxville

Let's start our day…

Up the stairs for the start of our walk.  Minnie's waiting.

The pool has been closed.

The furniture has been rearranged.  We will have a fire, make S'mores, and drink later.

Now Maggie's waiting for us.

There's peanut off in the distance.

Minnie will stay close in case we see any wild life.  The deer are quite common and the coyotes are close by.

We can go for a run around the track a few times if you'd like.

Sonny has come out to play with us this morning

Almost back home.

Typical redneck…we have an old broken vehicle on our property.

Hunter is chopping wood for the winter and our fire tonight.

Minnie's ready to rest.

Shit!  I forgot I have to work.

    1. We call it The Harrison Day Spa. It really has become my refuge. Spent many hours asleep on that couch. Love a good fire.

    1. Thanks. I do believe Mr. H finds the chopping very cathartic but sometimes he misses his kids help moving the actual wood.

    1. The floor is actually a concrete paint/stain. Very easy to do.

I think I need to come to the Spa. Maybe I can take your gorgeous dogs for a walk! Between a beautiful house, a sweet, hunky husband and your own lovely self, it seems like you have a fantastic life. Bless you for sharing so much with us.

  11. It all looks really beautiful. Your covered outdoor fireplace - kitchen is fantastic. It must be the perfect spot on a cool fall evening. Enjoying a glass of wine by a fire is such a pleasure for me. And did you say s'mores?

    1. We can do s'mores or, I forget the name but you take mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and sliced bananas, wrap in tin foil, put on fire until it is a delicious gooey mix of pure joy. We can have both if ya want.

  12. Beautiful and hilarious as usual. My husband loves chopping wood too. We love having fires but it's not quite cold enough here yet. Bummer about the work :-( but just think about the glass of wine and cozy fire to enjoy when it's done.

    1. I am fortunate that I can walk to work too. The weather is perfect now...sunny and high 60s in the day, a nice fire and blankie weather at night. I am gloating aren't I?

  16. What a lovely home you have. We lived in East TN for 3 years but did not venture to Knoxville very often. I hear great things about it, mostly from former students who went to UT.
