Let's start our day…
Up the stairs for the start of our walk. Minnie's waiting.
The pool has been closed.
The furniture has been rearranged. We will have a fire, make S'mores, and drink later.
Now Maggie's waiting for us.
There's peanut off in the distance.
Minnie will stay close in case we see any wild life. The deer are quite common and the coyotes are close by.
We can go for a run around the track a few times if you'd like.
Sonny has come out to play with us this morning
Almost back home.
Typical redneck…we have an old broken vehicle on our property.
Hunter is chopping wood for the winter and our fire tonight.
Minnie's ready to rest.
Shit! I forgot I have to work.
Completely envy your outdoor fireplace! On my wish list but might have to move countries for it...
ReplyDeleteWe call it The Harrison Day Spa. It really has become my refuge. Spent many hours asleep on that couch. Love a good fire.
DeleteOh wow! Those colours are beautiful! I envy your land... So lush and big!
ReplyDeleteOur back yard is probably the size of your study!!
It does help to live where land is cheap and the neighbors questionable.
DeleteHilarious!
DeleteYou're so lucky to have such a beautiful "outside"!! My little pup would love going walkies there.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how excited they get every morning for the walk. Try to take them in the afternoon and it's what the hell lady can't you see it's nap time.
DeleteLove your property! And your walking companions are so great!
ReplyDeleteThe time change is always a bit tough because now they want to go even earlier. I love my property too.
DeleteOh it's beautiful, it's a mansion! I really love the wood pile, I would love to have that outside my house.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I do believe Mr. H finds the chopping very cathartic but sometimes he misses his kids help moving the actual wood.
DeleteGorgeous!!! Can I come over? And dammit, I better get some sleep, almost forgot I have to get to work early tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAlways welcome baby. Sleep well...
DeleteYour house is gorgeous and the woods for walking, that's a dream. Your outdoor fireplace area is so perfect, love what you did with the floors in there too. You and Hunter clearly have excellent taste!
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the work but the office area is excellent as well. Thanks for taking us on a walk!
The floor is actually a concrete paint/stain. Very easy to do.
DeleteYou have beautiful land and I just love your covered patio with the fireplace. Lucky dogs!
ReplyDeleteThank you. We are all pretty lucky pups.
DeleteBB your house is gorgeous! the colors remind me of when I used to live in New England, fall is lovely there too!
ReplyDeleteI think I need to come to the Spa. Maybe I can take your gorgeous dogs for a walk! Between a beautiful house, a sweet, hunky husband and your own lovely self, it seems like you have a fantastic life. Bless you for sharing so much with us.
We'll come on down. And yes, I have a blessed life. Who knew at 15 this is where we would be.
DeleteThat's stunning BB - you all must so love living there.
ReplyDeleteOh I do love it here. It is extremely peaceful and quiet.
DeleteIt all looks really beautiful. Your covered outdoor fireplace - kitchen is fantastic. It must be the perfect spot on a cool fall evening. Enjoying a glass of wine by a fire is such a pleasure for me. And did you say s'mores?
ReplyDeleteWe can do s'mores or, I forget the name but you take mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and sliced bananas, wrap in tin foil, put on fire until it is a delicious gooey mix of pure joy. We can have both if ya want.
DeleteBeautiful and hilarious as usual. My husband loves chopping wood too. We love having fires but it's not quite cold enough here yet. Bummer about the work :-( but just think about the glass of wine and cozy fire to enjoy when it's done.
ReplyDeleteI am fortunate that I can walk to work too. The weather is perfect now...sunny and high 60s in the day, a nice fire and blankie weather at night. I am gloating aren't I?
DeleteI'd live in that outdoor room in the warm months, how fun!
ReplyDeleteOh I do. I start reading on the couch and out like a light in 30 minutes.
DeleteLove how the dogs just sort of join you along the way. :) Your home is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Peanut hauls ass out the door the minute he knows we are going. Sonny, a neighbors dogs, usually finds us along the way.
DeleteOh what beautiful fall colors! My BF's fam live up in Knoxville and my pup looooooooves going. She has a big ole yard by the water to roam around in and neighbor dogs to play with, it's like a holiday for a pup!
ReplyDeleteLove it here. It has it's charm.
DeleteWhat a lovely home you have. We lived in East TN for 3 years but did not venture to Knoxville very often. I hear great things about it, mostly from former students who went to UT.
ReplyDeleteThe UT fans are a bit rabid aren't they?
