A Little This a Little That

Okay it is 37 F and dropping quickly.  I know, some of you just called me a pussy but well…I am.
It's cold!

So let's take a peak in Mr. H's closet.

He is such a trendsetter.  Look at that flannel plaid.  (BTW, I just discovered the line through button.  I will try not to overuse it.) There is also camo at the end.

He even has some that are bracelet sleeves.  Why are they so short?

Chicago Shopping

What he got:

Mephisto Edlef, Hazelnut Palace, Size 11.5

There they are with his three other pairs of shoes.  Me thinks he likes the hazelnut color.  Don't worry, he has work boots, flip flops, hiking boots, and two pair of Crocs (one he can wear socks with thus his winter pair, the other are his summer Crocs…he can't wear socks with them, bit too small).

What I got:

Stuart Weitzman Dude, Black Sport Suede, size 9

So pretty.  I almost got the natural but my personal stylist reminded me I wore dark pants in the fall/winter and the black was a much better choice.  Hunter's good.

Also:

Hermes Ruban de Cheval, 65

Hermes Ruban de Cheval

This is suppose to be my Christmas present.  I ain't waiting for Christmas.

My Room

I am finally done with transforming Tyler's bedroom into my lounge.  I can not say "craft room"
because Emily would horse laugh me.  With the exception of one minor thing, I am smitten.

Before

After

A wonderful view.

Those are hammers not guns :)  She had nothing for his hands.

Let's not forget the wonderful portrait of me.

Tyler and my dad a few years ago.

Aren't they cute sitting on the pot?!

Nice job on the closet, honey.  When we first built the house, Tyler wanted to paint his entire room this electric blue color.  We settled for just the closet.

Yep, there's my chair with no legs.  Mother F*****r.

  1. This post is quite funny! Yes I think he likes hazelnut shoes too. So men also have their little quirks - but he is consistent...

I also give and ask for xmas and birthday pressies either too early or too late - I have already used up my birthday present in advance until my 80th from my family.

I am a sucker for a before and after.

That chair is too funny. Gone potty barn.

    1. I have specified that all I need is some chocolate under the tree to open since the bracelet has been opened and worn. We'll see what he gets from Food City Christmas Eve.

  3. I was trying to imagine the chair with no legs but couldn't quite get there. Thanks for the pic because that is hilarious. And Husband has bracelet sleeve shirts too. He blames the cleaners and not himself for choosing a not size XL Tall shirt. I absolutely love the view. If not for the chair I'd stay in that room all day.

    1. Hunter doesn't even notice the sleeves. He just throws them on and off he goes.

  4. Also roaring at your MF*er chair! That is the best room ever. And your bracelet, girl after my own heart, MrBP gave me a Hermes bangle in October for our anniversary of the day we met, I have been wearing it all the time. They are such beautiful pieces! Yours is GORGEOUS and I love blues.

    1. I have been eyeing the bracelet since June but hermes is not something we have around here. The sizing was a bit of an issue since I have fat hands but small wrists. Who knew?

    1. That is hysterical! Reminds me of some potraits that were done by my daughter's kindy class years ago. One child had drawn their dad surrounded by bottles of VB (Aus beer brand!)

  7. Snort!!!!
Love your Hermes bangle, it is so beautiful!
I don't think the chair looks that bad, but then I am a short-arse so it would probably be a good height for me.
Mr H does love a chestnut shoe - as do I!

  8. I know I'm about 40+ years too late, but I'd love you and Hunter to be my parents. You're welcome! Some lovely purchases - and that chair would be my drinking chair because we'd be legless together.

    1. You can actually just crawl on over to the chair and climb in. Hadn't thought of that perk.

    1. I'll get socks, underwear, and chocolate. He was quite fun shopping. Of course we both butchered the pronunciation of Hermes multiple times.

  12. Great Chicago purchases! I am loving the way you transformed your son's room. The closet is so neat and organized. I would trash it in no time. I can keep my house neat but God forbid anyone open a closet door! I love the artwork and the unadorned window. My mother-in- law was aghast when I was first married and not putting up a lot of window treatments. But whenever privacy is not a factor, I like to see outside and like the look of a window as is.
The kids' tributes are precious. It reminds me of a back to school night for one of my daughters when she was little. The teacher had displayed some of the student's work. It was also a fill in the blank. It said "my Dad is funny when ........" . She supplied "when he wears a dress.". Truly that never happened but he was mortified!

    1. I forgot to show the window treatment. They are blinds that slide down AND up. So cool. That is funny about your hubs...poor thing.

  13. BB, I am moving into that room. Bringing the sewing machine! It looks gorgeous. You must tell me where you got that bookcase, it is exactly what I am looking for.
And yay for both of your purchases, you did good! Hunter is at the cutting edge of trends, love his fashion advice. We may have to go on a shopping double date, my husband is quite involved with my closet and the fashion advice.

    1. You gotta make me a skirt. The bookcases are also from pottery barn that I got years ago. They still sell them called Studio Wall Shelves. You do have to put them together.
