What's Up?!

Play the above music while I drone on and on, and let's catch up!

Hunter and I went to see this guy:

Annabelle Alexander's photo.
Tyler's the dude on the left...not the evil, devil looking one.

We also did the Global Online Enrollment System so hopefully travel by air and through the "wonderful" TSA will be less complicated.

We also went to see this chick:

We watched an Ultimate Frisbee Tournament...she's a starter!  I also froze my butt off.  It did manage to quickly reappear.

CheapTrick:

The FANS were amazing to look at.  Fun show.

My sis came to visit:

Leesa, Mom, and me

Dad, Leesa, and me

We had way too much fun with the selfies
Great visit.  Talked, laughed, ate, drank, and picked on dear old dad.
Love them all.

Cows came a calling:

They quickly stampeded away once they caught sight of me.  I am not sure if they left anything behind.  We shall mow this week end and see.

I received a gift in the mail:

Just so happened to be thinking of Naomi.  Sent her an email to say "Hey".  Very next day a package arrived from Korea!

The necklace I have worn many times.  The bracelet...I can not get the damn thing on without Hunter's assistance.  When did I lose my dexterity?  I can not open a screw top bottle of wine either.  Yes, this is even before the drinking has started.
This must be another "age" thing.

Dining Room:

The Dining Room is painted, chandelier hung.

Still working on the track lighting.  Somehow, we managed to blow that a bit.  We shall see if it all works out in the end.  Right now, if you turn it on it's like a flood light has been turned on in there.  Not the ambience I want.

I received my chairs.  Funny how it never crossed my mind.  Didn't consider it for a moment.  Chairs are bought, paid, delivered...I forgot I had Evil Kitty!  Something tells me the cat it REALLY going to love them.  Sigh.

Don't let her fool you.
Hopefully the table will arrive before Thanksgiving.

Shopping:

Look what I found!  Perfect.

The coat is DVF.  The scarf is J Crew (couldn't find online).

Vegan/Vegetarian:

After Hunter went to doctor and they weighed him...well.....  We are doing a modified vegan/vegetarian diet.  He has managed to lose 17 pounds so far.  Yay.  He has also perfected his whine.  We are trying.  With trial comes error.  Decided we couldn't wait for a wake up call since basically a lot of people don't survive their first heart attack.

This is dinner tonight

And Finally...Walking Dead:

Well?  How's it going with you this month?  Hopefully all are healthy, wealthy, and wise.

  1. Interestingly I have heard that eating meat is like pushing the accelerator for your body and acidic. Your family look a hoot you are very lucky! So odd bc the day you posted about the bird that afternoon I saw those bird motifs so it was just synchronicity!!! Your lawn is as big as my neighbourhood by the way xxx

    1. I am afraid to eat meat now. Have had chicken and did fine. We were meant for each other baby!

  2. Love this! What a good time you are having! I am SOOOO behind - need to write a long post tomorrow! I am thinking of switching to videos so I don't have to type. I would imagine my readership would fall off dramatically!

And lovely gift from Korea! That lady is swell!

    1. I do not miss the meat. I crave bread with real butter at times. Naomi is fantastic!

  4. There are tantrums in my house, literally, if there is no meat on the table. Also attempts at wit along the lines of That's not food, that's what food eats. good luck to you both, my sister tried a modified vegetarian regime 15 years ago, is still on it, and is gorgeous. I have to save my strength of character for putting up with grouchy men.

  5. Dinner looks delicious....we still eat meat but smaller portions.
You look like you are having a great time and the dining room looks wonderful, I love the carpet.
I have the same issue with fastening bracelets with those lobster claw closures....oh and long zippers on dresses...husbands do come in handy!

    1. Well thank you. The rug is my first area rug ever and was a very difficult decision to make. The dining room is slowly coming together.

  6. What a fun loving family you have. The dining room looks great as does the dinner. I live with carnivores - teenaged boys - but try to veg it up once a week. No matter what I feed them they're milling about in the kitchen 2 hours after dinner. If I dared to deny their burgers they'd revolt-plus I like a good steak now and then too. Fortunately DH and I have good numbers-though a drastic change in the family dinner will happening once the kidlets are grown.

    1. I had one of those bottomless pit of a teenage boy...a meal was not a meal unless meat was involved. Daughter is a bit more daring but I think I'll have to have some hamburger on hand when son comes home to visit.

  7. Tell Hunter he's got a partner in whine we're on a vegan/vegetarian regime too, just recently had a heart scare which turned out fine but it was a Scare. Good point many people just don't survive their first heart attack.
Love the update T and your family is awesome.

    1. The whining can get very annoying because some days I want to partake also but must be strong. He goes to see the doc in November so our fingers are crossed this will help him stay off the pills.

    1. The electricians were not very happy with me since they had to install over 170 little glass balls...worth it though.

  10. Tell H that I've been a vegetarian for 20 years (since my early teens!) and there's still enough piss and vinegar left in this gal to drive everyone crazy :) Glad to see the chairs arrived, and that they have legs. Can I come visit? Your house, family, and especially you seem like a good time!
I've been on and off the Internet lately and have missed you dearly!

  11. The dining room looks very spiffy indeed! I really applaud Hunter, it must be so hard for him to change his diet so radically, mine just lives on potatoes and more potatoes or for a change, chips.
Lovely family pics, looked like a fun time.

    1. He's now lost 19 lbs and about to enter a weight range he hasn't seen in years. He can also shimmy out of his pants without undoing them...impressive. Believe it or not, we are 1/3 of the way there. If we could just cut out the alcohol I think it would really fall off.
