Eek!

Well, we found Cricket in the dining room playing with the drape…never a good sign.  Let's pull back the drape and see what she has killed now (Evil Kitty).  Shit, it's still alive.  Emily, get Cricket and put her in my room.  We are going to save this poor creature.  Got some kitchen towels to grab it.  Try not to get rabies.  Pull back the drape.  Carefully place the towels over the mouse.  Mom!!!  It's behind you!!!!  Eeeeeekkkkk!  Go get Cricket!

Good Kitty!

    1. I just had visions of the damn thing crawling up my back and into my hair. Could not comment on your blog...not a team member?! Of course I swore like a sailor so maybe that's why. So glad you are back. Love ya baby.

    2. Oh I forgot, changed it back! I'm on moderation for a while, can't be bothered with all the buggers out there.

  2. I scream like the devil when I see a mouse. I can't help it, it's like a primal reaction I cannot control. Thank heavens for Cricket. She's adorable even if she is a killer.

    1. Dani, I was fine until it kept to the floor, I had visions of it running up the legs of my pjs.

    2. I'm good with just about all creatures, but an attack from the back had me in a frenzy. I did shriek like a girl.

    1. Oh she earns her keep. I had suspicions that a mouse was lurking...the droppings were a give away.

  5. Hahaha! Well done cricket!
We has a rat here, but our useless felines ignore it. I'll swap you!?

    1. She'll take on just about anything but she does like to toy with it first. Of course, we promptly threw it out once she had killed it. Not a happy kitty after that.

  6. Definitely scream when I see a mouse but am more horrified when cleaning up the droppings. Luckily I haven't had any unwelcome visitors in a few years. I have no Cricket to call in for a rescue. That falls into my husband's list of duties.

    1. The thought of it scurrying around...seen to many horror flicks and my imagination quickly runs away. Only shriek when I am startled by sudden movements and of course my daughter shrieking behind me.

  7. Good kitty indeed!

We have a division of labor in our house when it comes to mice.

    1. I have always been the catcher/killer of critters. I do just fine until sudden movements or some one else starts freaking out.
