This is Us

Yep, I did it.  Nope, I did not pull a "Claire" on Modern Family.

It was a bit tough to relax though.

The chair is not a good accessory for the ass.

Emily just had to get this shot.
Overall the massage was great.  The ambience was lacking.

Kids are home

Em is in training to run a half marathon in March...she ran 7.8 miles today.  What did I start with the 5K?  I was asked if I wanted to partake...hell no.  So instead I am doing "The Push Up Challenge" with her and her little baby arms.  We are up to FIVE!

Tyler, yes that is my son and not the Diet Dr. Pepper guy or the Hairy Rob Lowe from the commercials, came in last night.  He has since shaved and got a haircut.  He and my father (bald guy on left) left this morning for Las Vegas. What grandfather takes his grandson to Vegas for his 21st birthday?!  A good grandfather.  They shall be back Thursday night with hopefully lots of stories, no rap sheets, no STDs, and maybe with a bit of money in their pockets.  A 73 year old and a 21 year old plus my dad's two younger brothers...could be fun!
My dad and Mr. H on a previous trip.  They look a little too happy.

My mother wisely opted not to go.  She now has four full days, in her house, all by herself.
I wonder if she'll even leave the house.

Just wanted to wish every one a Very Merry Christmas.
Love you all.

    1. Just hoping I don't get a call to bail them out. I do believe all were looking forward to their trip.

  2. Those massage chairs are very popular with ladies as their nails dry in the manicure shops in NYC. Quite a treat! The kids are home . Hooray! It means Christmas is almost here. t's time to celebrate. I don't blame your mom one bit. The rare times I get the house to myself, I usually stay home too. Merry Christmas to you all.

    1. That's actually a fantastic idea to get nails done then a quick massage. I only did ten minutes but it seemed like thirty...I just could not relax.

    1. We have been going to Vegas just about every year with the folks for the past ten years. In fact, we are going in January with them (mom wants to go, dad doesn't want to be left out). My dad has always said he would take Tyler there for his 21st. He shall take Emily somewhere, she picks, for her 21st.

    1. Those are the ones always worth keeping. I still love the pic of the men with " Dolly", they were like school kids.

  8. Sounds like fun for the "boys". So it's OK if they come home with matching tattoo's? Just asking. I've passed those chair massage places in airports and malls, but never tried one. I'm so glad your darlings are home. Em is one beautiful girl!! Like her Mom:) xo

  9. I nearly wet my pants on these pics! Yes Dad and Hunter especially look to be enjoying themselves though I absolutely wonder at what Dolly was thinking....when she got those puppies installed?!?!?!
Emily is a great beauty so naturally favors her mother!!! If Tyler favors Hunter after that shave that wouldn't be such a bad deal either...and he'd be big enough to discourage comments to the contrary.

  10. Hi, fabulous photo's! And yes I am going to single the "booby" Pic, (see what I did there!) What do you think she asked santa for when she had them done - Dear Santa, I would love some boobs as big as a mans head?
lol. Have a wonderful Christmas and peaceful New Year, Suzie. x

  11. Love your family, love you, and wishing you happy holidays. How great it must feel to have the kiddos at home, but I bet in 2 weeks you'll be ready for the semester to start :)

  13. Vegas is a great place for a fun wknd. I would put GPS tracking on Tylers phone, though. Are they going back to the Golden Nugget? Try the Venetian or the Palms where you will find the lace brassieres to be of a higher quality...
Your family is very beautiful and happy.
Now you can check 'mallsage' off your list. But I agree: say no to the half marathon. It's about 11 miles too long

  14. I love that the family allow themselves to be photographed, mine slither out of view while I'm lining up the iPhone. Like vampires. They don't show up on film.

I had a great time in LV in 2005, got comped all over (no I don't gamble, I would get in trouble if I gambled there because of my trick memory) - a loved one was working in town and very quickly, as always happens, everyone decided they loved him. I won't be going back, it wouldn't be as much fun if I had to pay my own way.

  15. Lovely snaps of the fam! Em is a beauty. Your husband and father are well rested I see! Ha! Do you notice that two people in this photo have orange shirts - what does it all mean. Good on Em her for all that running - and you too. Could not do a marathon, I would be the one pooping themselves at the end though no one would see because I would be so far behind.
