My brother in law has actually turned me on to New Age white wine on ice with lime...very refreshing for an afternoon by the pool (should I have said evening?).
I was doing so well convincing myself that bathing suit time was still a long time away. I am really going to have to suck it up and shop for one. I always end up with a newer version of the suits I've worn for years and years. Ruching works - what can I say! Looking for underwire without all the padding limits the choices as well. Your picks make it look painless and chic.
Last night as I was at deaths door, head pounding and eyelids drooping I pulled up your blog on my tablet but it didn't work (obviously too cool for the limited power of a tablet) and I could only get flashing images of the collage which was like watching a video montage of summer temptations-suit! cocktail! lotion! suit again! sunglasses! I watched for a little bit because in my hazy state it all made perfect sense.
Love the suit, the beverage and the whole day. I'd happily take a dip in a pool anytime - back to my teens as a pool rat - where I'd spend my off hours in the sun before it was bad for you. Pool time is a rare treat now-at least the vanity of not liking my body in a bathing suit has past. If they don't like what they see - don't look ;-)
I just started using that sunscreen!! It's great. Very hot out here too, but I would only be seen wearing a bathing suit in a foreign country. It's diet time at my house:(. Great picks!
Love the tunic. And the drink!!

DeleteOOOh heaven, the sswimsuit, the top the tote...the drink, splash into the paddling pool
ReplyDeleteJust received the suit and the temps are in the 80's. The water won't be warm enough for me until mid June..I'm a wuss.

ReplyDeleteI desperately neede a new suit and yes the ruching has become a necessity. I do agree underwire without all the padding. I am now ready to lounge.
DeleteHello BB,
ReplyDeleteWe do not 'do' water.........."too posh to wash"........ But love the whole idea of lazy tarting, sun hats on and chilled drinks in hand.
If I could just find the money for a pool hand to refresh my drink I would be set.
DeleteTres Chic! There is still a foot of ice in our pool!
ReplyDeleteGood Lord woman...you really do live "beyond the wall".

ReplyDeleteMy subliminal message is summer is upon us. Hot, hot, hot today.

ReplyDeleteI agree. I do believe we are our worst critic.
