Well Hello There...

Guess what's coming soon?!

MAGIC MIKE XXL Poster

Sassy Sandy (my mom), Miss Em, and I all went to see the original back when.

Now they have gone and Super Sized it!!!!

Something besides this weather to get my temperature up.

Other news, last Monday we had a male black Cocker Spaniel in our garage (we called him Georgie).  He looked pretty good to me but had no collar and seemed to want to stay with us.  Poor Maggie chased him all over the yard until they were both exhausted and limping.  Minnie could not be bothered by something as lowly as another dog.  And to throw more stress his way, Sunny (neighbors dog) came to visit and check him out.  He was infested with fleas, had an ear infection, and was very matted in his ears, and he was not neutered.  We put up signs.  No one called.  Took him to the vet for a full check up because he had lost hair around his eyes...wanted to make sure it wasn't contagious.  Picked him up in the afternoon.  The receptionist, who had just started her shift, wanted to make him hers (she named him Baxter).  Yay!  He shall now have a loving home and poor Minnie will not have to put up with him.

Best I could get of him

Hunter's shoulder surgery went well.  Was at the hospital (he's hard to incubate) for 10 hours for a 45 minute surgery.  Geez.  He will be in his sling for about three more weeks and then start therapy.  He has very good movement already.  Didn't have the heart to take a picture of him.  He was quite an ass the first week.  Something about pain...whatever.  I managed to get through it though.

Just a hot, boring summer for us.  Just the way I like it.

  1. I can't wait to see that film, we both loved it and couldn't stop laughing, Mathew M ( can't spell Scottish names) was so good in it.
Our Gulf Stream has been kicked out of the way by north winds so no summer for us, not even our usual mediocre one.

    1. It is unbearably hot here...did I spell that right? Anyway, I really become a sloth now. Too hot to move.

  3. Men and pain is never a good combination! They're just sissies. At least mine is. So happy to hear the dog found a loving home. What is it with folks who don't tag and fix their pets?

  4. Well done on the dog front. I love a happy ending. Glad Hunter is healing even if doing it "like a man." I've not seen the first Magic Mike but have it on PVR. Think I need to watch it this weekend.

We go between stinking hot and freezing cold and raining. I yearn for a nice day when you can sit out comfortably.

    1. The pup was so cute but needed a house where he would be the center of attention. MM is quite fun...a lot of eye candy and not much else to think about. Perfect summer movie.

  7. They filmed this here in Savannah and I'm so lazy I didn't even go to watch.

    1. I did not realize they filmed it in Savannah...don't think I would have gone either. But I am toting my butt to the theater.

  8. We don't have much planned this summer and I'm so happy about it. Sittin' around seems good right now. Thanks for the movie rec. Sounds like Hunter is doing just fine, glad you got through it okay. XO

  9. Shoot I thought I'd commented long ago, dose of summer old timers for me.
Loving the pupstar and hope he goes to a good home.
You know, I saw that first one on Netflix and actually stopped watching half way through; did not do it for me. Not that I don't love a bit 'o' light relief, but my guilty pleasure is more teen movies.
