Pinkie

Some people just never learn.

Equipment Cecile Cashmere V-neck.  A bit too big.

We are not even going to discuss fit.  We are here to talk about PINK!

They say if you find the right shade it will be like wearing blush and you will radiate.

Uh.....

Rag & Bone Cashmere Valentina  Sigh

I swear I have the same bra on.  See my belly button?  Wow...again, we are strictly looking at color.

Am I radiating yet?

If I really feel like being beaten down, I may give this a go...

Pink?

Not sure I've got it in me.

In the mean time I will stick with my relatively new classic navy v-neck jumper from Brora.
Yes, Dani's incessant nagging finally wore me down.  I think it is wonderful.

Hmm, when are they getting it in pink?

  1. Sorry but I think pink suits everyone! But I think with your boobs you should get a wide v or scoop to accentuate.

  2. Ha! Very happy I finally wore you down. I do like pink and especially on blondes, you can wear anything as far as I'm concerned.

    1. Aw thank you. I need to find just the right shade and hopefully not tire of trying them on.

  4. I think it's gorgeous on you, for the first time in my life I am dying for something in that colour.

    1. I've always been smitten with pink but have a tough time with the right shade. I need brighter but I like baby.

  5. Photos are tough on color accuracy, but in my "professional" opinion, this first pink is bloody awesome on you!!! Seriously great. The other one washes your beauty out. You look fresh, pretty and fabulous in the first one. Did I mention I like it on you? xoxo

  6. Ok. I had to come back and "try to" tone down my pompous comment. A big job:)
I even like the fit of that sweater on you. Wear it slouchy with skinny jeans and boots. Sexy looking. Time for bed Jen. Love Ya Doll!!

    1. Thanks for all the praise on the first sweater. I like the concept of pink on me, I'm just trying to find the perfect shade. I have that pink, spam as Tabs calls it, skin.

  7. I love pink. Wore a JC punk cashmere sweater, but was in a raspberry sorbet with blue undertones shade that always makes me look so healthy. I am with Jennifer - the sweater is actually flattering!

  8. Oh and ps - you could carry that shade with a bright lipstick...

    1. I am finding I now need lipstick all the time. Never wore much but the color has really faded out of my puckers.

  9. Hello,

Pink to make the boys wink.......or so they say!

The first jumper looks really good on you. The colour is fresh and girly and the slightly slouchy fit looks effortlessly elegant. We like it!

    1. Thanks. I never really wanted pink until this season. I think I am getting ready for spring.

  10. I agree with everyone, T, I think you look great! It is a liiiiiitle sheer, but that may give Mr. H a reason to be nice to you ;)

  11. I totally agree. I think the first pink is both beautiful as a shade and beautiful on you.. I have always loved pink and wear probably most shades other than mauves or extremely pale pink. One story I always remember about the color occurred at the end of my third pregnancy. Realizing I probably needed a new bathrobe for the hospital I ordered a blue bathrobe over the phone ( pre - internet days) from Macy's I think. A few days later the robe arrived but it was the right robe wrong color. These were the days when amniocentesis was the only way to find out the baby's gender before giving birth. I was far too young and luckily way too healthy to need the test. So with two little girls already at home I knew exactly what the pink robe meant. I kept the robe and wore it for years . My third daughter continues to be a wonderful gift too. Happy Valentine's Day! Wear that pink with pride!

  12. I vote for the first sweater.

I'm still trying with pink, I just looked, to be really sure, and I have pink pants for every season, but nothing for next to the face. Guess my mind is made up already.

    1. I'm ready for spring and I'm thinking pink since yellow is definite NO for me.

  13. You look so pretty in that top one - you look Miss Em's age in that jersey!!! You are a pink lass! (sorry that came out as a bit Fifty Shades....), not sure if I could do a shade that soft, though I'm now obsessed with giving it a go. Love the top Equipment one.
Is it Rag and Bone do you reckon, their stuff is hard to wear. I bought a pair of olive camou type Rag and Bone trou and they were so, so unflattering. Had to wear something huge over them

    1. I felt so dumpy in the Rag & Bone. The Equipment was nice just something was just not quite there. I'm thinking more a cardigan...I'll get more wear out of it since our cool spring is only a few days long.

  14. I also love that first sweater on you and it seems to be made of thicker cashmere with a very classic v-neck cut. The Rag and Bone is too sheer and I'm not a fan of swingy shapeless stuff. Like you I find pink and yellow hard to wear but the deeper berry pink or a mustardy honey glaze yellow suits my coloring better. Tell us if you kept any of the pink sweaters you tried.

    1. I decided to send them both back. I may look for a cardigan instead because I'll just use it more. I do believe we are all gnashing for spring. I only look good in neon yellow but I just hate the shade...makes my eyes hurt.

  15. You are hilarious. I wear pink but have to rough it up a bit with an edgy shoe or bag or ear cuff or I look like an eager 6 year old playing dress up.

  16. I must agree with everyone else here in saying that the Equipment one is a very nice shade on you. You should get it in a smaller size though and let that cashmere slink over those gorgeous curves.
I know what you mean about finding the right shade-you and I have the same skintone and I have such a hard time finding pink that I just dont try anymore except for maybe a tee shirt with jeans, etc. 'Roughed-up' like Jen said above. Go with the first one, one or two sizes smaller
