Haven't done much clothing reviews. Let's jump right in...
J Crew Mixed Media Bib Top, Heather Gray, Size 10
On Model
I have 39 1/2" bust, wear a 34F bra. I know, right?!
Ta Da
This is straight out of the box and a bit wrinkly.
I am wearing with my long johns and Smartwool socks. Sorry. Wanted to show length. Covers ass.
Girls are contained. No gaping.
Nice job with placket (?)
Sleeve detail
Back of garment is a bit see-through
When I first put this baby on, the bib part was stiff (has wool in it) and I thought the mega cuffs on the sleeves a bit odd. I steamed the whole thing and love it. It's light but has weight. I have worn it a couple of times with my AG Stevie cords and SW black booties. I am 5'6. Because of the length I do think a bit of heel is needed (2") otherwise my legs look stubby.
Massimo Dutti Diagonal Weave Blazer, Navy, Size 10
Aren't the boots pretty spectacular? Didn't have my size.
On Me:
You are all now worthy of real pants.
Fits very nicely in the shoulders.
Lined and with a hook loop.
More lining
A place for something small.
Single button but a pretty button.
Vented at the back
This is a heavy blazer. I actually used as a coat/jacket two evening in Chicago first of November.
Yes, I've been slacking. And yes, this was before the big freeze.
For those not familiar with Massimo Dutti...They offer free shipping and returns. However, the items must be returned within two weeks. I am still trying to figure out my pant size...no luck yet. I could not get them over the hamhocks...hate that, don't you?
i like a blazer and yet as i get older i dont wear them as much. but it looks good on you - you look all casual director in it!
ReplyDeleteI now own two blazers. I find I use them at night instead of a jacket or coat.
DeleteLooking good Blue! Such pretty classics - they really look great on you.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Still waiting to see the DVF dress you chose...or something just as spectacular.
DeleteSince I found the dress for the wedding, DVF will have to wait for a new budget cycle ;-)
DeleteI like the shirt on you and yes, those boots are fab. I can't help feeling like a flight attendant in a navy Blazer, but I don't have your figure either:) looks terrific on you.
ReplyDeleteThank you baby. I struggle with any shirt that has buttons so this was a pleasant surprise.
DeleteLovely choices! I am actually about to do a clothing post myself! Something in the wind? I'd never heard of this brand! I have a DVf dress in my Hudson's bay online basket. It's down to $400 and amd hoping it will go lower after the holidays!
ReplyDeleteI,be has a plain ol navy blue DVF in my Nordstroms bag but it's not budging and either am I. Shall go see how you did in a sec.
DeleteVery pretty. Live that blouse. The bib style is one of my favs. Feels very french to me somehow.
ReplyDeleteI can see the French thing especially with the huge cuffs too. Am so enjoying your advent blog.
DeleteI think the bib top is perfectly cut to fit you in every way but not crazy about that bib style. The blazer is a home run and your hair looks fab!
ReplyDeleteSome one, or ones taught you well. Thanks for the hair compliment...always welcome.
DeleteBoth pieces are a home run and fit your beautifully! You can wear a blazer properly because you have the right amount of ease...classic and perfect Darling.
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting to tell you and need to do a post...I'm a Brora owner! Your incessant nagging finally made me cave. Just kidding. You know your cashmere baby.
DeleteThe shirt looks great with the long johns.I say wear it that way! I like the blazer too, I wish I could wear them but I look too manly
ReplyDeleteI love my long johns and meant to crop the picture but forgot, lazy, who knows...
DeleteLoving the jacket - you're gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWell thank you Fred, I'll take that compliment any time. Love you.
DeleteLove the shirt Missus! Looks superb on you, cream and grey...lovely. Also full marks on that jacket. i do love MD stuff. Yes the shoulders are always the tricky part aren't they...too many are short shoulder or just slope down on your arm, that one's perf.
